Magnetek, Inc. Announces Debut of New Wireless Controls at World of Concrete
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. - January 15, 2009 - Magnetek, Inc. today announced the debut of four new wireless radio remote controls at the World of Concrete 2009 tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nev. The new products being launched include Flex Pro™ handheld control, PulseStar™ XLTX, PulseStar® MBT and PulseStar™ PGT. These new products expand the wireless control product portfolio offered by Magnetek, giving customers the latest technology to meet the needs of a variety of applications and industries. Magnetek’s wireless controls can be customized to meet system specifications.

The Company will be introducing two new handheld controls. The ergonomically designed Flex Pro handheld control incorporates the latest in proportional control technology in a lightweight and rugged NEMA 4 case. It features Magnetek’s I-Chip module that allows for the transmitter to be universal and programmed in the field. The Flex Pro handheld is compatible with several receivers for CAN-BUS systems and is available with four, eight and 12 proportional or on/off buttons.
The PulseStar PGT pistol grip transmitter offers bellybox control options including toggle switches, push buttons and potentiometers, but with the size, weight and style of a handheld. The single proportional trigger version is an economical option for controlling multiple proportional hydraulic valves. The PGT offers a high-power and two-way RF, graphical display and a rugged NEMA 4 housing.
Two new bellyboxes will also make their debut. The sophisticated PulseStar XLTX bellybox transmitter incorporates the latest electronic technology in a lightweight, comfortably contoured, yet durable case. The intelligent and feature-rich design offers a graphical display for two-way feedback applications and a high-power RF to maximize use in the harshest environments. The flexible design also offers numerous options for proportional and on/off controls with military-grade auxiliary function switches.
The ergonomically styled PulseStar MBT bellybox is a compact and lightweight transmitter that offers many of the features of Magnetek’s larger bellybox models including proportional joysticks, toggle switches, two-way feedback and long-life battery.
World of Concrete 2009 runs from Feb. 3-6, 2009, and is the industry’s only annual international event dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries. It is expected to draw about 90,000 registrants and will include over 1,700 leading industry suppliers.
