Magnetek, Inc. Restructures Sales Operations in Canada
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. - July 2, 2008 - Magnetek, Inc., (NYSE: MAG) a leading designer and manufacturer of power control and delivery systems for the overhead material handling industry, today announced it has reorganized its radio control sales operations in Canada. Primary distribution and support to Canadian customers of both Magnetek’s Telemotive™ wireless controls product line and its Enrange product line are now consolidated in the Company’s Mississauga, Ontario facility. On February 5, 2008, the Company announced the acquisition of the assets and business of Enrange, LLC, a wireless controls manufacturer providing radio remote controls for the material handling, industrial, hydraulic and rock mining industries.
Historically, Berlet Electronics has served as a master distributor of the Company’s Telemotive products to Canadian customers. With this reorganization, Berlet Electronics became a non-exclusive general distributor of the Company’s products in Canada effective June 30, 2008.
Vice President and General Manager for Magnetek’s Material Handling business, Perry Pabich, said, “We appreciate the many years of service that Berlet Electronics has supplied, and look forward to continuing a relationship with them as a general distributor.” Pabich added “We believe this change will be beneficial to our Canadian customers on several fronts. They will be able to access even more of the Magnetek Material Handling product portfolio through one source. We have expanded our capabilities in Canada to accommodate Telemotive and Enrange systems and parts inventory levels to improve delivery time, and we anticipate that this arrangement will lower costs and increase ordering efficiency for many of our customers.”
Magnetek manufactures digital power and motion control systems used in material handling, people-moving, and energy delivery.
