Magnetek Acquires Telemotive Industrial Controls
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. - January 8, 2003 - Magnetek Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of electrification and control products for the overhead material handling industry, today announced they have acquired Telemotive Industrial Controls of Glendale Heights, IL. According to Peter McCormick, Executive VP, General Manager of the Magnetek Industrial Controls Group, "this acquisition, coupled with the Electromotive Systems and Mondel Engineering divisions of Magnetek, further strengthens our dominant position as a provider of products and services to the material handling industry." Telemotive is a leading manufacturer of wireless remote controls and anti-collision systems for use on overhead cranes, hoists, monorail systems, conveyors, locomotives and other material handling applications. Magnetek VP, Sales and Marketing, Perry Pabich, states "in conjunction with our current radio control supplier, Hetronic USA, the Telemotive acquisition not only makes Magnetek one of the largest radio control suppliers serving the material handling industry in North America, but also allows us to serve additional markets, such as locomotive."
Telemotive will continue to operate out of the Glendale Heights, IL as a division of Magnetek Industrial Controls.
