MENOMONEE FALLS, WI—August 11, 2006—Magnetek
Material Handling today announced they have
added two important features to their widely
popular Mondel 200S ST and ST/E Type,
3-phase AC Hy-Thrust Actuator Brakes. The
new Auto-Adjustment (AA) and
Auto-Equalization (AE) features
automatically compensate for brake lining
wear. According to VP, Magnetek Material
Handling Perry Pabich, "these self-adjusting
features eliminate the time required to
manually adjust the linkages on the braking
mechanism. Brake shoe to wheel clearance is
automatically equalized and maintained,
maximizing brake performance and extending
brake lining life." A completely sealed,
continuously rated, Hy-Thrust actuator
electrically controls Magnetek's Mondel 200S
ST and ST/E brakes. Designed with a minimum number of moving parts, the 200S brake
series provides long service life with
minimal maintenance and downtime.
